Improving Governance in Education

We understand that in a constantly evolving regulatory environment, school governing bodies must seek to continuously improve their governing effectiveness and fully understand and enact their roles and responsibilities.

Our long-standing partnership with Aon ensures that the Governance Evaluator independent schools solutions specifically address the particular requirements of the education sector with up to date and relevant content. Informed by Aon’s Independent Schools Risk Report (2016, 17 & 18), and developed in consultation with an Education think tank, our content enables governing bodies to quickly and easily build governance capability insights that are clear, visual and actionable.

The education-specific content addresses the key governance themes of Curriculum, Staff & Student Safety & Wellbeing and Talent Development to enable governing bodies to assess their current performance and potential for improvement.

Our partnership:

As a director on a school board and a past chair of a board for a charitable educational organisation, I consider the Governance Evaluator an essential tool for all boards. Reviewing the performance of a board is critical and the Governance Evaluator provides an invaluable means to collect authentic data from each of the directors. More importantly, it provides an online analysis of the data collected. The resulting action plans for both the board and individual directors and the learning opportunities for directors from participation in the process, ensure effective and knowledgeable governance for school boards.
